During my time of being a student and learning the ways of advertising, my lecturers have encouraged all of us to practice creating throw away content to react to current events. An activity to keep your brain thinking 24/7 and stay aware of the world around you.
Activities like picking 10 headlines, giving us 5 minutes to produces as many scamp posters as possible. Some ideas can be funny, some terrible, but all organic ideas that could potentially grow into an actual campaign.
This training being important to allow yourself to work in a fast paced environment, to get used to it for the future, limiting that dreaded overwhelmed feeling.
